ANDREA BAER

Andrea’s life and passion is dogs. She started at a young age learning how to train dogs by observing her mother, Nancy train and evaluate dogs. Andrea was very successful showing her dogs in 4-H as a child, winning many 1st places in obedience both at the county and state levels. She has been showing dogs in AKC since elementary school. In 8th grade she received her certificate of completion from A Canine Experience’s dog trainer school. She moved on from participating as a 4-H’er to being a 4-H leader, learning beneficial skills in educating children.

In 2002 she started working for A Canine Experience. Jobs including training problem dogs, working with owners, caring for dogs, doing bookkeeping and much more. Working closely with Nancy she learned about dog training and behavior. Andrea has daily experience training dogs with problems anywhere from bad manners to serious aggression. She also has experience teaching rally, basic obedience and CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Classes.

In 2005 she graduated from Edmonds Community College with her Associates in Technical Art Business Management Degree. She is also a CGC Evaluator through AKC (American Kennel Club).

Summit Assistance Dogs has been very grateful to have Andrea raise, train and evaluate some of their service dogs for the disabled. It was a wonderful experience working with Summit Assistance dogs and taught her much valuable information.

She has put titles on multiple dogs including her own personal dogs, a Belgian Sheepdog Casper (CH Reverie’s Casper O’Horde CDX RE CGC HIC) who has earned five obedience titles and her Championship.
